The COVID 19 Pandemic has set back sustainability by many years of effort. The Tourism Industry is one of the worst-hit and countries are working to revive it. During this revival, it is important that sustainability is ensured simultaneously with development. This workshop will inform participants about the importance of sustainable tourism, how they can help as tourists/ citizens to foster sustainability in their communities. The workshop will highlight the actions taken by UN bodies, governments in this direction and also hint at recommendations for the future. This topic will be linked to the various SDGs and inspire action towards it. This workshop will encourage participants to take part in the 100k Deeds Challenge. There will be audience interaction activities as well as a Q/A session.

Meera Ranjan
I am Meera Ranjan, a 16-year-old, Grade-12 Student from Chennai, India. I am the Head of India for the 100k Deeds Challenge. I have attended over 10 MUNs and many online MUNs and love debating. I am deeply passionate about achieving the SDGs and committed to creating a positive change in society. I joined MUN Impact as I found the principle behind the organization very interesting- an organization that conducts MUNs, but also inspires change in the world!
Prince Santosh Kumar
I am Prince. I hail from India and I am currently living in the Kingdom of Bahrain. I am passionate about the SDGs with a special emphasis on SDGs 4,5,13 and 16. I have been involved with MUNs since 2020 and I am currently serving as the Deputy Secretary-General for a MUN Conference as well as a Diplomat for MENA At MUN Impact Global.
