The Taipei American School Model United Nations (TASMUN) is a junior level conference designed for aspiring delegates from 7th grade to 10th grade new to Model United Nations. TASMUN has grown from a local conference consisting of less than a hundred people to more than 500 participants from various countries across asia. In 2013, the TASMUN conference achieved “Highly Recommended” status from The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) Advisory Board.
Since 2018, TASMUN has been thoughtfully integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the conference through SDG focused committees and topics, global goals challenge, impact hour, and many ideas soon to be implemented. Come learn how you can integrate SDGs and activism into MUN!
I am Brian, a student from Taipei, Taiwan. Over the past 5 years, I have attended a total of 17 MUN conferences. I have served as a Secretary General for TASMUN (Taipei American School MUN) and jrO-MUN (Junior Online MUN). However, my MUN career is much more than simply attending and organizing MUN conferences. I consider myself a youth activist who participates in events, discussions and campaigns launched by local NGOs. I believe it is my responsibility, as someone who studies these various social issues and the Sustainable Development Goals, to do my best to fight for a better future!
