Event Details

Motivate participants to create or develop better tools for their MUN/SDG’s clubs by sharing my own story having to deal with being taken seriously by school authorities and as a young teacher.

We will explore ways to turn small ideas into social action, and encourage more people to get interested, and how they can do projects and activities with no money whatsoever – this being especially useful for schools with limited resources.

Sharing my own challenge system to create activities, and develop a small reward system to keep motivation, and share how I translated this group with a spread through social media and with the use of tools such as Zoom. I will also share how the SDGs changed to make the way we create solutions to problems much easier.

My name is José Mario Flores. I am a Mexican college student who has been involved in social activities from literacy to social changemaker programs. I earned a 100% college scholarship in Tecnologico de Monterrey, thanks to my projects mostly designed for poor communities to develop social action and see that one’s context doesn’t define one’s destiny or the limits of one’s actions. I became interested in the SDGs after a MG20 in Beijing in 2018 and 2019..
