This presentation is going to help you and your school start a Model UN Club by showing you the required resources needed to start one successfully. We are going to show you how effectively you can not only start a Model UN Club but also how smoothly you can organise the club. Participate in this workshop to learn tips and tricks of starting a Model UN Club and how to get students onboard in the club by sharing with them the benefits of joining the Model UN Club.

Mohammed Mostafa

I’m Mohammed, living and studying in the Netherlands. I began participating in Model UN conferences in 2014 and started chairing Model UN conferences in 2017. In 2018 I started training students from high schools and universities on Model UN and advised Model UN clubs on how to run a Model UN conference. In 2019 I participated in the Directors’ Training Institute Level 2 Certification course provided by THIMUN Qatar in collaboration with Best Delegate, where I became a Model UN Director. Currently, I am serving as the President for NHL Stenden Toastmasters Club, Head of Marketing & Communications for Current Affairs Forum Leeuwarden, Head of Global Communications for MUN Impact Global, and USG of Strategic Mentorship & Planning for MUN@Home.

Neha Varadharajan

I am a 13-year-old student studying in Pune, India. I have been involved with MUN Impact as a regional diplomat and mentor for MUN@Home, along with doing MUN for two years. I founded The Face of Education and am a two-time journalism award winner. I work to promote the SDGs in my community by being the envoy of my country for the Global Citizens Innovative Solutions SDGs Challenge. I am a published writer both online and offline and a debate representative at school. I pride myself on telling each person I know about the SDGs and how they can spur action.

Shashank Kumar

I am Shashank Kumar, a student of the Mont Kiara International School in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am a swimmer and an open water diver who has started working for SDG 14 that is life under water. I am also the Deputy Secretary General of Southeast Asia for MUN Impact and also the Envoy of SDGs challenge, Malaysia. I am a firm believer of the fact that if someone is really determined he or she can do it and to motivate others I do it myself and to really bring forward a change there is nothing better than starting a MUN club and working for the SDGs. I hope to motivate the youth to start a club and design their own future working for the SDGs .
