The workshop will talk about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Sustainable Development Goal 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth. The main topics to be discussed are: what the SDGs are, what the United Nations is doing in regards to the economy, the United Nations Development Programme, different ways that governments are proposing we pay for the pandemic, such as a global wealth tax, what the green economy is and a description of an action campaign organized by MUN Impact, the 100K Deeds Challenge. The aim of the workshop is to discuss different viewpoints on the topic and highlight the idea that all actions count to achieve the 2030 Agenda. At the end of the session, participants will be able to ask questions and take part in a quiz.

My name is María Teresa Egea and I’m a 17-year-old student from Spain. I have participated in MUN for the past two and a half years, and it has been an eye-opener! I have also been a member of MUN Impact for just under a year.
My name is Tanisha Saxena and currently, I live in Al Wakra, Qatar, and am from India. I’m 14 years old and will be going into Year 10 soon. I developed my interest in MUN in 2019, and ever since I have attended around 6 conferences, including MSMUNQ 2019. I have been a part of MUN Impact for 8 months, throughout the SDGHubs, 100k deeds challenge, and the GS 3.0 team.
