Climate change is an issue faced throughout the whole world, spanning across borders, cultures, and communities. While there is a growing awareness regarding climate change, the countries most affected do not have as much access to environmental education resources. In this workshop, we will highlight how youth activism can play an active role in providing accessible research and information to all and will delve into the importance of intersectionality across national, ethnic, racial, and linguistic barriers in the movement against climate.
My name is Tamara Drpic and I am a senior-year Marketing student with a passion for the environment and communicating creatively. I am the Deputy Graphics Director for Climate Cardinals, an international youth-led nonprofit working to make the climate movement more accessible by translating climate information into over 100 languages.
I also currently work for Ellucian, where I founded their GoGreen group, which aims to bring awareness to living a more sustainable life at an individual level and gives employees a way to discuss, develop, and enact ways to make the company more sustainable as a whole.
