Welcome Address: Annemarie Hou – Acting Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Partnerships and the Senior Communications Adviser in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General at United Nations

Keynote Speaker:  Marie-Claire Graf, YOUNGO Focal Point at United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)

Born at a time where atmospheric CO2 was at 364.92 ppm, with a rapid increase over the years causing climate-related disasters across the globe, Marie-Claire Graf feels the urgency to act in support of the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and ambitious climate solutions with a high level of commitment and intrinsic motivation. Currently she is the Focal Point at UNFCCC, She is the co-founder of several local, national and international initiatives and associations around empowering children and youth to catalyse positive, meaningful and impactful change through raising awareness, increasing blood actions, demanding change and working to foster long-lasting collaborations and networks to advance action on the climate crisis.

Musical Performance: Ambi and Bindu Subramaniam

Ambi and Bindu Subramaniam-a brother-sister duo who are musicians, educators, and creative advocates for the SDGs. They will be sharing their SDG work during their Session 4 workshop.

Plenary Speaker: Francisco Abad-Making your Pitch

Francisco Abad is the founder and Executive Director of Codeis, a social enterprise empowering people in Latin America through social innovation and leadership training. Francisco, through Codeis was also Quito Regional Director for Hult Prize Foundation, named by Muhammed Yunus as the Nobel Prize for Students and by Bill Clinton as 1 of the 5 ideas changing the world in Time Magazine. He is the Latin America Regional Director for Circle of Intrapreneurs, Chapter Lead of Net Impact Professionals Quito, and a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative created and managed by the World Economic Forum.

Francisco has been a One Young World Ambassador since 2011 where he was a Delegate Speaker, and in 2017, he was One Young World South America Coordinating Ambassador. Francisco has a Masters of Public Administration in International Development from London School of Economics. Through Codeis he is growing World Change Makers Academy, a social innovation and leadership academy for at-risk youth, indigenous peoples, domestic violence survivors, and refugees/migrants which is being implemented in Ecuador and Mexico in 2020.
