I have set up a website called The Face of Education which aims to eradicate the dearths of illiteracy in many parts of the world. Education is one of the most important resources for an individual to become an international asset and my initiative aims to contribute to that. My school has an Each One Teach One club and I built upon that, teaching blue-collar workers to read and write. The Face of Education has country profiles describing educational issues in each nation and action plans wherein students can participate. We also contact governmental organizations with ideas. This introduces SDG 4 and its solutions to the global community. My workshop covers how I started this education mini-revolution and how I plan to continue to build upon it, including plans of action for individuals who may want to contribute to this or start their own mini-revolution!
I’m a 13-year-old student studying in Pune, India. I have been involved with MUN Impact as a regional diplomat and mentor for MUN@Home, along with doing MUN for two years. I founded The Face of Education and am a two-time journalism award winner. I work to promote the SDGs in my community being the envoy of my country for the Global Citizens Innovative Solutions SDGs Challenge. I am a published writer both online and offline and a debate representative at school. I pride myself on telling each person I know about the SDGs and how they can spur action.
