“EDUCATION IS NOT A LUXURY BUT A BASIC NEED”
Unfortunately, the Covid 19 pandemic has made education unreachable for thousands of students around the world. Also, it has made a lot of students unlikely to return to their schools when the schools are reopened. Issues of distance learning are not limited to specific regions but to all developed, developing, and least developed regions. During the workshop participants will be able to learn about this issue in-depth and discuss the ways to solve them. If you are a person who believes that education is as essential as all the other SDGs during the Covid 19 period, It is time for us to put ourselves in the shoes of those most affected.
I’m Naduni Kalungalla from Galle, Sri Lanka. I have been doing MUN for more than 5 years. I’ve always been interested in discussing topics related to Human rights and related SDGs. I’m an award winner in Harvard Model MUNs. I’m currently working as a diplomat in MUNI and I’m a mentor in MUN@Home. Apart from those, I work actively in taking SDG action on an individual scale.
